Our Equipment:

We use MSR (Mountain Safety Research) Denali Classic or Ascent snowshoes. We believe these
snowshoes are the best technical terrain showshoe on the market. They have toe crampons for
uphill traction and side-stablizing cleats for traction on angled traverses or hill sides. The Ascent
models feature a flip-up heel support to help reduce the fatigue on your calves as you walk up hill.
Both models also feature easy adjusting binding systems that can be operated while wearing gloves
or mittens.

Personal Equipment: Participants should supply their own clothing appropriate for the weather. Shell
pants and jackets with plenty of insulating layers under are best. Waterproof boots are a must. A hat
and gloves/mittens should also be worn.
