Vermont Adventure Tours is a part of the Green Mountain Rock Climbing Center, which has been
operational since 1997. The businesses are located in the city of Rutland, at the "cross-roads" of Vermont.
The Green Mountain Rock Climbing center and Vermont Adventure Tours are owned by Steven and Sherry
Lulek. Steven has dedicated his life to adventure education and with his wife Sherry, they pass on their
own passion for the outdoor world to everyone around them.
We primarily run trips in the Central and Smuggler's Notch regions of Vermont. Central Vermont offers
some of the most diverse, beautiful, and exciting terrain in the state. There are two major rock-climbing
cliffs, a dozen or so ice climbing crags, miles of mountain bike trails in all ability levels, several lakes,
remote ponds, rivers, and everything is surrounded by the beautiful Green Mountains. Most destinations
are under an hours drive, which means time can be spent enjoying the activity instead of spending half of
your day driving. Smuggler's Notch offers some of the best rock and ice climbing terrain in New England,
as well as an excellent training ground for mountaineering. "The Notch" as locals call it, is located
adjacent to Mount Mansfield, Vermont's tallest peak. With all this in mind, both areas also offer excellent
amenities including some of the best Food and Lodging the state has to offer.
Since Steve and Sherry purchased the business in
2003, the business has grown rapidly. Originally
only a small rock and ice guide service, the
company has grown into a full time adventure guide
company. We now specialize in rock and ice
climbing, mountain biking, paddling, survival
education, wilderness first aid,and alpine
mountaineering. Additionally, Vermont Adventure
Tours offers adventure teambuilding courses for
corporate, community, school, and youth groups as
well as a full-fledged Summer Camp program.

"Excellence is an art won by training and habituation. We do not act rightly because we have virtue or excellence, but we rather have those because we have acted rightly. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit." ~Aristotle
